He really likes Meg and does a good job of keeping everyone calm and level headed throughout the story.
T.J: T.J is the "popular" kid and is the star athlete as he has a full scholarship to play football at USC. She used to date Gunner but only to make T.J jeleous who she's secretly in love with. Struggles with bipolar disorder and struggles to control herself when she doesn't take her medication. Minnie: Meg's best friend and was able to convince Meg to go to the party even though she really didn't want to.
Meg: Protagonist of the story, best friend is Minnie and is one of the only people who know about Minnie's condition, was supposed to go to homecoming with T.J but turned him down the night before, she's a good writer, very observant, and does a good job of staying calm under pressure.
